VALORANT Champions 2025 Shatters Viewership Milestones

VALORANT’s biggest stage once again delivered a global spectacle. The 2025 edition of VALORANT Champions recorded an incredible 1.47 million peak viewers and 47.58 million total hours watched, cementing its place as the third most watched tournament in the history of the VALORANT Champions Tour.
According to data from Esports Charts, the Paris event’s success reaffirmed VALORANT’s position as one of the most engaging esports ecosystems worldwide. North American team NRG Esports’ dramatic championship victory over Fnatic brought the competition to a thrilling close, and fans around the world tuned in across platforms to witness the grand showdown.
Co Streaming Dominates the Viewership
One of the biggest stories to emerge from this year’s event is the rise of co streaming. An impressive 58 percent of the total watch time came from community streams, showing just how influential creators have become in driving esports engagement.
While established figures like Pujan “FNS” Mehta drew millions of views, the surprise breakout came from Counter Strike creator Mark “OhnePixel” Zimmermann. Despite not being a regular VALORANT streamer, OhnePixel’s genuine enthusiasm and entertaining commentary resonated deeply with fans. His final day stream maintained over 70,000 concurrent viewers for six hours straight, outpacing even major VALORANT creators and breaking his own personal viewership records.
His success perfectly illustrates how Riot Games’ open co streaming policy has redefined esports broadcasting. Instead of competing with official streams, community creators are now expanding the audience, pulling in viewers from other gaming communities like Counter Strike and making VALORANT more accessible than ever before.
Streamer Tarik “tarik” Celik also delivered solid numbers with 2.2 million total hours watched, though competition among creators has grown fiercer than ever. Co streamers from Spain, Japan, and Brazil further proved that VALORANT’s global reach continues to expand far beyond its core regions.
Pacific Teams Steal the Spotlight

The most watched matches told a compelling story of regional dominance. While the NRG versus Fnatic Grand Final topped charts with 1.47 million peak viewers, matches featuring Pacific region teams like Paper Rex and DRX attracted equally impressive audiences.
Paper Rex’s intense clash with Fnatic pulled in 961,000 viewers, while their battle against DRX reached 876,000. Another key match between PRX and Team Heretics also surpassed 835,000 viewers, underscoring the Pacific region’s growing influence in the global VALORANT scene.
In terms of total watch hours, Fnatic led with 14.7 million, followed closely by NRG with 11.6 million, DRX with 11.1 million, and Paper Rex with 10.4 million. Despite not reaching the Grand Final, these teams’ consistent performances and fan engagement solidified their place among the most popular esports brands in the world.
A Truly Global Celebration of Esports
The multilingual coverage of VALORANT Champions 2025 further highlighted the game’s international appeal. English language broadcasts peaked at nearly 794,000 viewers, while Portuguese streams reached 179,000 and Japanese broadcasts crossed 134,000. Even TikTok Live contributed to the excitement, peaking at over 71,000 concurrent viewers, proving that younger fans are embracing new platforms to follow their favourite esports events.
VALORANT’s Esports Evolution Continues

While Champions 2025 did not break last year’s record from Masters Madrid, the tournament reinforced VALORANT’s status as a leading global esport. The event’s impressive viewership and record co streaming numbers showcased the strength of the community and Riot’s forward thinking approach to content sharing.
By allowing creators to play a larger role, VALORANT has transformed from a competitive game into a community driven cultural event that brings together fans, streamers, and players from every corner of the world.
The 2025 Champions may have ended, but the message is clear — VALORANT’s audience is evolving fast, and the future of esports viewing lies in collaboration, creativity, and connection.
