Gen.G Esports secured a flawless 2-0 victory against 100 Thieves in the VCT Masters Shanghai playoffs, maintaining their undefeated streak. The Korean team showcased their aggressive and strategic prowess, having previously defeated EMEA's FNATIC on May 30, 2024.

Gen.G started strong, winning the first map, Icebox, which was picked by 100 Thieves. Despite the American team's efforts, the first half ended with a dominant 9-3 score in favor of Gen.G.

Map 1: Icebox

• In the second half, 100 Thieves attempted a comeback, winning seven consecutive rounds. However, Gen.G quickly secured the pistol round and the following round, ultimately closing the map with a 13-10 score. Key contributions from Karon's strategic support and t3xture's offensive power were crucial.

Map 2: Ascent

• The second map was also tightly contested. 100 Thieves won seven rounds in the first half on defense, but Gen.G's impenetrable defense proved too much.
