Match Overview

Gen.G vs. 100 Thieves: Unbeaten at VCT Masters Shanghai

Gen.G started strong, winning the first map, Icebox, which was picked by 100 Thieves. Despite the American team's efforts, the first half ended with a dominant 9-3 score in favor of Gen.G.

Map 1: Icebox

  • In the second half, 100 Thieves attempted a comeback, winning seven consecutive rounds. However, Gen.G quickly secured the pistol round and the following round, ultimately closing the map with a 13-10 score. Key contributions from Karon's strategic support and t3xture's offensive power were crucial.

Map 2: Ascent

  • The second map was also tightly contested. 100 Thieves won seven rounds in the first half on defense, but Gen.G's impenetrable defense proved too much. T3xture's performance with the Operator as Jett and Meteor's control with Killjoy were nearly unbeatable. Karon and Munchkin provided key moments, defending the site with multiple frags. Gen.G's resilience was highlighted by winning eco rounds, including a near-ace by t3xture with a Sheriff. The map concluded with another 13-10 victory for Gen.G.
