Two of the biggest names in streaming, Jeremy ‘Disguised Toast’ Wang and Tarik ‘tarik’ Celik, are coming together for a highly anticipated VALORANT Masters Toronto showmatch. The event is set to feature the first live showcase of VALORANT’s brand new map, creating buzz across the esports world.

The showmatch is scheduled for June 22 at 12 PM EDT, on the day of the Grand Finals. Disguised Toast and Tarik will captain their own teams, squaring off in a competitive match that will debut the upcoming map for the first time. While the full player lineup for both teams is yet to be announced, fans can expect a star studded roster with plenty of surprises.

In a playful post, Toast teased the matchup by announcing he was “looking for four VALORANT players to teach lil bro Tarik a lesson.” While Tarik is no stranger to showmatches at major VCT events, this will be Toast’s first in person appearance playing VALORANT at a Riot hosted tournament.

Tickets for the event are already available on AXS, with the Enercare Centre in Toronto set to host thousands of fans. Those unable to attend in person can catch the entire event live on the official VALORANT Champions Tour Twitch and YouTube channels.

As for the new map, Riot Games has confirmed that it will launch globally with Patch 11.00, expected to release on June 24 or June 25. The first glimpse of the map was shared in the ‘5 Years of VALORANT’ trailer. Unlike previous releases, this map will be available in ranked play from day one. To help players adapt, Riot will activate a two week period where losing matches only reduces ranked rating by half, while winning still rewards players fully.

Patch 11.00 will also introduce a new battle pass and a fresh skin bundle, adding even more reasons for players to log in and explore what is shaping up to be one of VALORANT’s most exciting updates.
