Pokemon’s next mainline generation might be closer than expected — and very different from recent entries. According to new leaks, Pokemon Wind and Pokemon Wave will serve as Generation 10’s twin titles, taking players to a Southeast Asia–inspired world with procedurally generated islands and new weather-based combat mechanics.

New Battle Mechanics

Shared by content creator Light, the leak claims that the upcoming titles will return to a turn-based system described as a “fluid version” of Pokemon Legends: Arceus. While Pokemon Legends Z-A introduced real-time combat, Wind and Wave are expected to blend strategic turn order with dynamic area-of-effect moves.

Next-Gen Hardware and Setting

The games are reportedly designed for the Nintendo Switch 2, leveraging enhanced performance and visuals. Early screenshots allegedly showcase lush tropical environments, variable weather, and redesigned classic Pokemon.

What’s Next for Fans

Although the leaks remain unverified, official announcements are expected on Pokemon Day 2026 (February 27). If true, Pokemon Wind and Pokemon Wave could arrive later that year, marking the series’ debut on Nintendo’s new console.
