A Season of Transformation Begins

September marks the beginning of Pokemon Go’s Tales of Transformation season, and trainers can look forward to an action packed month. From the arrival of new Mega Evolutions to themed celebrations and exclusive rewards, this month is shaping up to be one of the most exciting in recent memory.

Legendary and Mega Raids

The legendary dragons Palkia and Dialga headline September’s five star raids, appearing at different points through the month. Alongside them, an impressive lineup of Mega Evolutions will cycle into raids, including the long awaited debut of Mega Sharpedo on September 7. Toward the end of the month, Mega Camerupt also makes its first appearance during a special Mega Raid Day. For players hungry for variety, Dynamax Pokemon such as Pidove, Trubbish, Abra, Chansey, and Beldum will feature in Max Battles throughout the month.

Spotlight Hours Every Tuesday

Spotlight Hour continues as a fan favorite event every Tuesday evening. Each week, a different Pokemon will appear in abundance between 6 PM and 7 PM local time, accompanied by valuable bonuses. Pidgey, Trubbish, Gothita, Hoothoot, and Aron all take turns in the spotlight, with rewards ranging from bonus Stardust to extra candy.

Community Day with Flabebe

September’s Community Day shines the light on the fairy type Pokemon Flabebe on September 14. Trainers will find Flabebe more frequently in the wild, with different flower colors depending on the region. Evolving Floette into Florges during the event unlocks a special Charged Attack, Chilling Water. As always, Community Day offers powerful bonuses, including quarter hatch distance for eggs, double catch candy, and extended Incense and Lure durations.

Special Themed Events

The month is filled with themed celebrations that keep trainers engaged. The Kanto Celebration brings back favorites like Chansey, Snorlax, and Abra alongside special research and bonuses from September 2 to 7. The Pokemon Concierge Celebration introduces a Psyduck in a swim ring and adds Netflix crossover flair. Later in the month, the Psychic Spectacular from September 16 to 21 brings psychic type encounters, Team Go Rocket takeovers, and a Shadow Tornadus boss battle. Wrapping up the month is the Steel Skyline event beginning September 30, highlighting steel type Pokemon and featuring Dynamax Duraludon in Max Battles.

Weekend Raid Highlights

Beyond the regular events, September is filled with special raid weekends. Mega Sharpedo Raid Day offers increased shiny chances, while Mega Camerupt Raid Day at the end of the month gives players a shot at another brand new Mega Evolution. A Shadow Raid Weekend on September 20 and 21 brings Shadow Groudon to gyms, with the rare opportunity to encounter its shiny form.

Why This Month Stands Out

From classic Kanto nostalgia to Netflix inspired crossovers and brand new Mega Pokemon, September is a month that blends old favorites with fresh experiences. Trainers will have more chances to catch rare species, battle powerful raid bosses, and complete challenges that offer valuable rewards. The limited time events also create an urgency that ensures no two weeks feel the same.
