A Spooky Month For Pokemon Go

October is always a special month for Pokemon Go, and 2025 is no exception. As the Tales of Transformation season continues, players can expect a mix of autumn-themed events, new raid rotations, and one of the most exciting Halloween celebrations the game has ever seen. From legendary battles to shiny hunts and limited-time research tasks, trainers will have plenty to look forward to throughout the month.

Raid Battles Take Center Stage

The raid schedule this month is packed with fan-favorite Pokemon. Deoxys returns in all of its forms, followed by the comeback of Genesect with special drives, and finally the Altered Forme of Giratina to close out October. Mega Raids are equally exciting, with appearances from Mega Sceptile, Mega Salamence, Mega Houndoom, and Mega Gengar among others. Dynamax Pokemon also make their way into Max Battles, with Gastly and Woobat appearing later in the month.

Spotlight Hours Highlight Fan Favorites

Spotlight Hours continue to be a weekly highlight in October. Every Tuesday evening, trainers can catch featured Pokemon with special bonuses. Ferroseed kicks things off with bonus evolution XP, followed by Petilil with double Stardust, Gastly with extra XP, and Sinistea with increased candy. It’s the perfect chance to stock up on resources while hunting for shiny versions.

The Harvest Festival Welcomes New Pokemon

From October 10 to 16, the Harvest Festival brings fall vibes into the game. Two new evolutions of Applin, Dipplin and Hydrapple, make their debut alongside a new collectible item called Syrupy Apples. Seasonal encounters like Miltank, Combee, and Smoliv will also appear more often, while shiny Pumpkaboo and shiny Smoliv will be easier to find.

Solosis Community Day

October 12 is all about Solosis. The psychic-type Pokemon will spawn more frequently between 2 and 5 PM, with increased chances to catch its shiny form. Players who evolve Solosis into Reuniclus by 9 PM will unlock the exclusive fairy-type move Charm. The event also brings boosted Stardust, extra candy, and extended durations for Incense and Lure Modules, making it one of the most rewarding Community Days of the year.

Mega Metagross Raid Day

On October 4, Mega Metagross finally makes its debut. Trainers will be able to take on this powerful Pokemon in Mega Raids between 2 and 5 PM local time, with a higher chance of encountering its shiny form. Each captured Metagross will also know the exclusive move Shadow Claw, making this raid day one to mark on the calendar.

Celebrating Pokemon Legends Z A

From October 16 to 20, Pokemon Go will host a crossover event to celebrate the launch of Pokemon Legends Z A. While full details are still under wraps, players can expect special themed activities, bonuses, and maybe even the debut of new Pokemon tied to the upcoming title.

The Halloween Festivities

Halloween is one of Pokemon Go’s biggest traditions, and this year it returns in two parts. The first leg runs from October 21 to 27, bringing spooky encounters and themed research. The second leg begins October 27 and continues into November, ensuring that trainers stay in the Halloween spirit until the season ends. A Go Battle Weekend on October 25 and 26 adds extra rewards for PVP fans during the Halloween event.

A Month Full Of Surprises

With so many raids, events, and bonuses packed into one month, October 2025 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting times for Pokemon Go players. Whether you are hunting for shinies, chasing raid bosses, or just enjoying the seasonal celebrations, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
