Ukrainian esports powerhouse NAVI has officially stepped into the League of Legends EMEA Championship as it takes over the spot previously held by Rogue. This marks a major return for NAVI to League of Legends and their first ever presence in the top tier European competition.

The announcement confirms that NAVI will begin its LEC journey in the Summer Split scheduled to kick off on August second. Although this is NAVI’s first time entering the premier League of Legends stage, it is not entirely unfamiliar territory. The organisation previously operated in regional League of Legends circuits between 2012 and 2017, before disbanding its roster.

This move comes nearly two years after Karmine Corp entered the league by acquiring Astralis’ slot. NAVI’s acquisition of Rogue’s place makes it the latest high profile name to join the LEC, further cementing the championship’s global reputation.

In a statement released via their official channels, NAVI said they are fully committed to bringing their signature level of competitive excellence to the LEC. The organisation affirmed that it would use all available experience and resources to leave a strong impression in League of Legends.

With this entry, NAVI inherits not just Rogue’s league position but also the core of Rogue’s former team, including coaching and analytical staff. According to Riot Games, NAVI is still exploring its roster building options to ensure the team is competitive from day one.

Yevhen Zolotarov, CEO of NAVI, shared his excitement about the milestone. He expressed confidence in NAVI’s ability to make a significant impact in the league and emphasized that the team is not here just to participate but to truly compete.

Founded in 2009, NAVI is one of the most iconic names in global esports. Known for their dominance in titles like Counter Strike 2, Apex Legends, Dota 2, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, the organisation now sets its sights on establishing a strong legacy in League of Legends.

With NAVI joining the LEC and the stage set for a new chapter in the league’s history, fans can expect thrilling competition when the Summer Split begins.
