Riot Games has officially announced that the League of Legends World Championship 2026 will be held across two major U.S. cities, marking its first return to North America since 2022. The Play-In, Swiss stage, and Playoffs will take place in Allen, Texas, while the Grand Final will light up New York City.

Expanding Global Esports Presence

This dual-city setup follows Riot’s push to expand global fan engagement. The 2026 edition comes after South Korea’s successful hosting in 2023 and marks the first multi-city Worlds in three years.

The Next Season of Events

Riot also revealed that First Stand 2026 will take place in São Paulo, Brazil from March 16 to 22, featuring eight teams and best-of-five matches throughout. Additionally, the Mid-Season Invitational 2026 will return to Daejeon, South Korea, reviving one of League’s most beloved stages.

A New Era for League Esports

With its return to the U.S., Riot is cementing its commitment to bringing LoL esports closer to fans worldwide. Expect packed arenas, new storylines, and rivalries that will define the 2026 competitive season.
