Riot Games has announced a wave of exciting content for League of Legends fans around the world as MSI 2025 approaches its climax. In a major update, Riot is rolling out Pick’em challenges for the Mid-Season Invitational for the first time, along with a brand new skin sale system tied directly to the grand final champions.

For over ten years, Pick’ems were a staple during Worlds, allowing fans to predict winners and earn rewards. Now, the same thrill of competition is being brought to MSI. This means players can finally test their game knowledge during the second international event of the year. While the rewards for MSI Pick’ems have not been fully detailed, Riot hinted at themed emotes, summoner icons, and other event-based items that may even reflect the current Ionian Summoner’s Rift aesthetic.

But what is arguably more exciting than collectibles is Riot’s fresh approach to skin sales. This year, every champion skin used by the winning lineup in the MSI 2025 Final will be discounted after the tournament ends. Whether your favorite champion ends up in a dramatic game five or is part of a clean sweep, the exact skins used by the five pros on the stage will be available at a reduced price for a limited time. Even better, Riot will offer role-based skin bundles that give even deeper discounts.

Each pack will be themed according to the role of the champions in the final, meaning players could see exclusive deals on champions like Kai’Sa, Ahri, Sylas, or Jhin depending on which pros and picks take the spotlight. For fans, this means that not only will they be watching their favorite teams battle it out for MSI glory, but they will also be rooting for certain champions to be played simply to unlock more appealing sales.

While legendary or event-limited skins such as PAX Twisted Fate and Silver Kayle will not be included, many premium and popular cosmetics are fair game. That includes ultimate skins like Elementalist Lux or DJ Sona, as well as fan-favorite lines like PROJECT, K/DA, and Star Guardian. Even Dark Cosmic Jhin or PROJECT Mordekaiser could make it into the sale depending on the drafts in the final. With the Fearless Draft system in play, the chances of off-meta champions showing up are higher, adding an unpredictable twist to what might get discounted.

Riot has not confirmed whether Prestige skins will be included, and it is unlikely that legacy or limited-edition skins such as Black Alistar will be made available. Still, with so many premium cosmetics potentially entering the sale and the new Pick’em format giving fans a reason to engage deeply with the event, MSI 2025 may become one of the most celebrated and closely followed tournaments in League of Legends history.

Whether you're here for the high-stakes matches, the rewards, or the chance to grab a dream skin for a steal, this MSI promises more than just competitive excellence.
