The League of Legends World Championship 2025, better known as Worlds, is just weeks away, and anticipation is at an all-time high. This year’s edition kicks off on October 14th with the Play-In Stage, before moving into the Swiss Stage and eventually the Knockout Stage where only eight teams will remain. The road to the Summoner’s Cup is one of the toughest in esports, and as the stage sets in China, the pressure is immense for all teams who have qualified.
Worlds 2025 Korea Representatives
Gen.G were the first to secure their Worlds spot after clinching qualification through the LCK Playoffs. Already crowned MSI 2025 champions, Gen.G enter the tournament as the undeniable favourites. Three more LCK teams will join them, with T1, Hanwha Life, Dplus, KT Rolster, and FEARX still in contention for those slots. Korean representation remains as strong as ever, with Gen.G leading the charge.
Worlds 2025 Asia-Pacific Representatives
From the LCP, CTBC Flying Oyster and PSG Talon have already punched their tickets. CFO’s journey has been nothing short of inspiring, with consistent international appearances that have turned them into fan-favourites and dark horse contenders for Worlds glory. PSG Talon, meanwhile, bring veteran star power with Maple, who made a triumphant return from retirement earlier this year. A third LCP team is yet to be confirmed, with GAM Esports, Secret Whales, and Viking Esports still battling for the final spot.
Worlds 2025 EMEA Representatives
Europe’s torchbearers, G2 Esports, have once again secured their place at Worlds. Known for bold strategies and fearless international play, G2 remains a perennial favourite to go deep in the tournament. Joining them is Movistar KOI, who are making their second international appearance of the year and looking to prove themselves on the world stage. The third European slot will be claimed by one of Fnatic, GIANTX, Karmine Corp, or Team Vitality, with all four still locked in a fierce fight.
Worlds 2025 Americas Representatives
Latin America will be represented by Vivo Keyd Stars, who stormed through the LTA Split 3 Playoffs with commanding 3-0 sweeps. Expectations are high, as LATAM has outperformed predictions in recent years, and VKS will now carry the region’s hopes in China. From North America, FlyQuest have secured their ticket after dominating in Split 2. With international experience and strong performances throughout the year, they aim to restore NA’s reputation on the world stage. Two more Americas slots are up for grabs, with 100 Thieves, paiN Gaming, RED Canids, and Shopify Rebellion in contention.
Worlds 2025 China Representatives
China will have the privilege of hosting Worlds 2025, and with it comes the most dangerous group of contenders. The LPL Summer Playoffs are still underway, meaning the full list of Chinese representatives is yet to be confirmed. But one thing is certain: the four teams that emerge will carry the roar of a home crowd behind them, making them incredibly difficult to beat on their own soil.
Looking Ahead
Worlds 2025 is shaping up to be one of the most competitive editions ever. With powerhouses like Gen.G, G2 Esports, and FlyQuest already confirmed and underdog stories like CFO and VKS ready to rise, fans can expect unforgettable clashes when the tournament begins. By the time the Summoner’s Cup is lifted on November 9th, the world will have witnessed League of Legends at its absolute peak.
