SuperGaming, one of India’s fastest rising game development studios, has just announced a major Series B funding round worth 131 crore. This massive $15 million raise is led by a powerful group of global and Web3-focused investors including a16z Speedrun, Bandai Namco, Neowiz, Polygon Ventures, and many others. The move marks a defining moment not just for the company but for the future of Indian gaming on the world stage.

This new funding follows SuperGaming’s earlier Series A raise of $5.5 million in 2021. What makes this round special is the scale of global confidence shown in a studio that has already launched highly acclaimed titles and built proprietary platforms. Their flagship game Indus Battle Royale is a breakout hit and recently won Google Play’s Best Made in India award. But the company’s ambitions go much further than just one successful game.

The money raised will now be used to scale Indus to international markets, starting with Latin America through a new partnership with LOUD.GG. It will also help SuperGaming boost game development capacity and invest in top-tier talent, while creating new original IPs and building global publishing partnerships.

At the heart of this expansion is SuperPlatform, the studio’s cloud-powered tech stack developed with Google Cloud. SuperPlatform helps developers build and manage massive live multiplayer games for low-end devices in emerging markets. It includes built-in AI tools, monetization features, analytics, and community systems that make it easier than ever to launch and scale a game anywhere in the world.

SuperGaming is also leading the charge on Web3. The company has partnered with B3 GameChain to bring blockchain-powered features like asset continuity and player-owned progress to its games. Titles like Silly Royale are already live on their custom Layer 3 chain called Superchain. This allows Web2 and Web3 players to coexist, giving users better control of their in-game items without changing the core play experience.

The studio has also become a magnet for global praise. From Xbox co-creator Ed Fries to Polygon co-founder Sandeep Nailwal, major voices in the gaming industry are backing SuperGaming’s ability to deliver bold ideas with world-class execution.

CEO Roby John believes this is just the beginning. While Indus has put them on the map, their deeper mission is to support developers everywhere with tools that make global publishing possible from day one. With India evolving from a gaming consumer market to a creator ecosystem, SuperGaming is ready to lead that transition.
