Keighley confirmed the news via his social media post, describing Summer Game Fest 2026 as a “spectacular, cross-platform showcase of what’s next in video games.” The new venue, the Dolby Theatre, will allow for a larger audience and a more immersive live experience, something Keighley has emphasized since the event’s inception in 2020.
While no lineup has been revealed yet, expectations are high following the massive success of Summer Game Fest 2025, which featured over 40 global premieres and announcements from top studios including Capcom, Bethesda, and Square Enix.

The 2025 edition concluded with the reveal of Resident Evil Requiem, and insiders suggest that 2026 could feature updates on titles like Hades 2, Death Stranding 2, and new releases from PlayStation and Xbox.

Before Summer Game Fest returns next June, Geoff Keighley is also set to host The Game Awards 2025 on December 11 at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles. The annual event will honor the year’s best games and is expected to feature world premieres, musical performances, and special guest appearances.
This year’s nominees for Game of the Year are expected to include Hades 2, Death Stranding 2, and Hollow Knight Silksong, among others.
