The highly anticipated Marvel Rivals Season 4.5 has arrived, and it is packed with fresh content, balance updates, and new rewards. The biggest highlight of the patch is the addition of Daredevil, the fearless protector of Hell’s Kitchen, as a fully playable hero in the game’s roster.
Released on October 10, 2025, the update also introduces a brand-new limited-time event, exciting cosmetic bundles, Twitch rewards, and a variety of quality-of-life improvements designed to enhance player experience across all platforms.
Daredevil arrives as a melee Duelist hero, equipped with a skill set that allows him to lock onto enemies and deliver devastating close-range attacks. New Event: Jade Scrolls of K’un-Lun
Season 4.5 introduces the Jade Scrolls of K’un-Lun event, a limited-time mission-based event where players can complete challenges to unlock exclusive skins and in-game rewards. Players can earn the Storm – Judicator XieZhi costume for free by completing event missions and also unlock premium outfits such as Spider-Man – Black and Gold and Psylocke – Fleeting Butterfly.
This event celebrates the mystical martial arts heritage of K’un-Lun and blends it with the game’s superhero flair, providing players with a rewarding progression system filled with collectibles and limited-time rewards.
New Bundles and Store Additions
The in-game store has also received new content featuring a range of Daredevil-themed cosmetics and special bundles. Players can now purchase the Daredevil – Devil 2099 Bundle, Hulk – Maestro Bundle, and the Daredevil – Fearless Origin skin, among others. These cosmetics are available globally starting October 10, 2025, allowing players to immediately customize their heroes with stylish new looks.
Additionally, new emotes and background customization options have been added. The “Home Background Switch” feature lets players personalize their main screen, while the new “Volleyball Bash” emote supports interaction between multiple heroes for more fun during matches.
Twitch Drops and Event Rewards
Marvel Rivals Season 4.5 brings back Twitch Drops, offering fans exclusive cosmetics for simply watching their favorite streamers. Players can unlock the Mister Fantastic – Will of Galacta costume and other related items by tuning into official broadcasts from October 10 to November 7, 2025.
There are also tournament-specific drops, including commemorative sprays and emojis, which will be available during live esports broadcasts throughout the season. This integration strengthens community engagement while rewarding dedicated viewers with limited-edition content.
Rank Rewards and Competitive Updates
The ranked system has been refreshed for Season 4.5, with new settlement rewards and tier-specific cosmetics. Players who achieve Gold rank can unlock the Daredevil – Shenloong’s Creed costume, while those reaching Diamond and Platinum tiers will earn new nameplate frames. Grandmaster, Celestial, and Top 500 players can display exclusive Crests of Honor as a mark of their skill and dedication.
Inactive factions will now be automatically disbanded if no member participates in matchmaking for two consecutive seasons, although historically significant factions can be revived by logging in during the new season.
Hero and Map Improvements
The update also brings several technical fixes and gameplay optimizations across the board. Visual effects in the K’un-Lun – Heart of Heaven map have been enhanced with improved fog and lighting, and AFK detection in practice modes has been refined for a smoother experience.
On the hero side, Jeff the Land Shark now has a more seamless Ultimate animation, ensuring smoother transitions during his dive attacks. Doctor Strange’s Cloak of Levitation has also been fixed to eliminate erratic movement caused by poor network conditions, ensuring more stable control for players.
