In the past, people mostly thought of esports as something only guys did. But now, more and more women are showing up in the gaming world. They're breaking old ideas and making a big impact. A report called 'Female Gamers in Asia' says that women gamers in Asia are growing fast. Right now, they make up about 37% of all gamers, and that number is going up by 11% every year. That's almost double the rate of new male gamers!

 

Women gamers also bring in about 23.5% of all the money made in the gaming industry in Asia. And this part of the market could get even bigger in the future, moving closer to being equal with male gamers.A survey in India found that there are more gamers now, especially in places outside of big cities. The ratio of male to female gamers is about 60:40.
