Blacklist International has made significant adjustments to its Dota 2 roster in preparation for the upcoming tournaments. The team has announced the addition of Jinn “Palos” Marrey P. Lamatao as their new carry player, replacing Raven who recently departed from the team. Additionally, Romel “Mzs” Quinteros Rojas has been brought in as the new position five support, taking over the spot previously held by Carlo, who has been moved to the inactive roster.
These roster changes come just days before the Elite League: Southeast Asia Closed Qualifier, a crucial tournament for Blacklist International as they aim to secure a spot in the main event.
Palos, who previously stood in for the team during ESL One Birmingham 2024: Southeast Asia Closed Qualifier, has now officially joined the main roster after a successful trial period. Despite the team's inability to qualify for the main event in previous tournaments, Blacklist International looks forward to competing with Palos in the carry position.
Mzs's inclusion in the team comes as a surprise, especially considering his background in South America. This region relocation is uncommon in professional Dota 2, highlighting the significance of effective communication within the team. As Mzs joins four Filipino players on the roster, seamless coordination will be essential for success, particularly in the safelane where he will partner with Palos.
