PUBG developer Krafton has unveiled a special tribute to The Expendables, the team that made esports history by becoming the first squad from the Asia Pacific region to win the PUBG Global Championship. The announcement of the PGC 2024 Champion Edition Set comes with excitement from fans and recognition for a performance that has reshaped the competitive PUBG scene.

The commemorative set is a digital cosmetics package available for both PC and console players. PC users can purchase it between July 9 and August 13, while console sales begin on July 17 and run until August 21, 2025. The set was developed in close collaboration with The Expendables themselves and includes unique in game items like a custom helmet, vest, backpack, and the iconic frying pan, all designed in the team’s aesthetic.

The Expendables’ remarkable journey through PGC 2024 has earned its place in PUBG’s legacy. The team overcame 23 top tier competitors from around the world, including giants like TSM, FaZe Clan, and Virtus.pro. Their resilience and consistent performance secured them the top spot in the Grand Finals, where they outplayed even the most seasoned teams. The victory earned them the largest share of the prize pool, bringing home 593,447 dollars. In addition, team member Clories was awarded 10,000 dollars for being named the tournament MVP.

The team’s lineup includes Nguyễn “Clories” Long Hảo, Trần “TanVuu” Tấn Vũ, Cao “Delwyn” Quang Nguyên, and Dương “DuCkHjeUz” Đức Hiếu. Despite finishing third in the overall circuit standings before the finals, trailing behind Natus Vincere and Petrichor Road, The Expendables made the most of the Super Point System in the Grand Finals.

Over 18 games played during the Grand Finals, The Expendables placed in the top four in eight matches, an impressive feat that showed not just consistency but also dominance. They clinched two vital Chicken Dinners in games sixteen and seventeen, ultimately closing out the finals with a total of 141 points. This well rounded performance under pressure solidified their place as one of the most impressive champions in PUBG esports history.

The video highlights each item in the Champion Set and features appearances from the team members themselves.
