The Esports World Cup 2025 witnessed one of the most jaw-dropping performances in Rainbow Six Siege history as Team Secret delivered a flawless 3-0 sweep over G2 Esports to lift the Rainbow Six Siege X trophy. Walking away with a massive $750,000 from the $2,000,000 prize pool, Team Secret not only claimed their first major title but also cemented themselves as one of the most dangerous forces in the scene.

Coming into the tournament as the third-place European seed, Team Secret had little expectation of taking the crown. Yet, they tore through the competition without losing a single match in the playoffs. Their toughest battle came right at the start when they faced defending champions Team Falcons. Against all odds, they sent the favorites crashing into the lower bracket and out of the tournament on day one. From there, they powered through the group stage unbeaten, before dismantling Weibo Gaming and SpaceStation Gaming in back-to-back 2-0 wins during the quarterfinals and semifinals.

The grand final against G2 Esports was nothing short of domination. Team Secret’s disciplined play, razor-sharp strategy, and unrelenting pressure left G2 with no answers. This triumph was more than just a victory   it was the culmination of years of grind since the team first entered the Rainbow Six Siege scene in 2018. For a squad that had never even reached a major final before, this historic win sent shockwaves through the competitive community.

Adrian “Adrian” Tryka’s phenomenal performance earned him the SONY MVP award, an additional $10,000, and a medal to mark his pivotal role in the team’s success. Reflecting on the victory, Noah “NoaUrz” Urwitz said, “From nothing to here. I think we’ve been slept on. People did not realise how good we were, and today we proved it.”

With the win, Team Secret secured 1000 Club Championship points, becoming the 15th team to claim a title at EWC 2025. Their next challenge will be Rocket League in Week 6, where a top-eight finish could further solidify their run for the Club Championship prize pool.
