RIYADH: Team Falcons from Saudi Arabia have surged to the top of the Esports World Cup Club Championship standings after an impressive second week of competition.
Free Fire Victory Boosts Falcons
The Falcons secured a gold in the Free Fire event, earning 1,000 points. This victory, combined with their 600 points from Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, brings their total to 2,600 points. They had previously won the Call of Duty: Warzone tournament in the opening week, further solidifying their lead.
Selangor Red Giants and T1 Close Behind
The Selangor Red Giants are in second place with 1,000 points, having defeated Team Falcons 4-3 in a thrilling best-of-seven Mobile Legends: Bang Bang final. T1 from South Korea, led by gaming superstar Faker, are in third place, also with 1,000 points, following their victory in League of Legends. Twisted Minds, another Saudi team, sit in joint eighth with 350 points from their Warzone performance.

About the Esports World Cup
The Esports World Cup is an eight-week-long event running until August 25 at Boulevard Riyadh City. It features 22 global competitions across 21 leading games, with a total prize pool of $60 million, the largest in esports history.
Over 1,500 players from more than 60 nationalities are participating. Week three will commence on Wednesday, featuring competitions in Dota 2 Riyadh Masters, Counter-Strike 2, and PUBG Mobile.
