stc Group strengthens its commitment to esports by returning as an Elite and Founding Partner for the Esports World Cup 2025, enhancing digital infrastructure, streaming, and fan engagement in Riyadh.
The Esports World Cup Foundation has announced the return of stc Group as an Elite and Founding Partner for the 2025 edition of the global gaming tournament. After a highly successful collaboration during the inaugural 2024 event, stc has renewed its commitment with a three year agreement running through 2027. This extended partnership positions stc at the heart of one of the world’s largest and most ambitious esports events.
stc is set to play a pivotal role in powering the digital infrastructure behind this year’s Esports World Cup in Riyadh. The group will continue providing high speed connectivity, optimized game server performance, and around the clock network monitoring to ensure players and fans enjoy seamless gameplay and viewing experiences. Last year, the company deployed over 100 technical specialists in a dedicated operations center, setting a benchmark for esports network performance.
As part of the renewed partnership, stc will also become the official broadcast partner through its platform stc tv. The service will stream all tournament matches live and feature interactive displays and fan activations both online and on site. This step further integrates stc into the core of the event, making it a key digital gateway for fans both in Saudi Arabia and globally.
To deepen fan engagement, stc is introducing a new initiative through its qitaf loyalty program. Designed for a digitally native audience, this experience will include a gamified booth with QR based app interactions, instant rewards, giveaways, and loyalty redemptions. The activation will be available to all telecom users, aiming to boost participation and expand qitaf’s reach beyond telecom rewards into lifestyle engagement.
The 2025 edition will also see stc serve as the naming partner for three major venues within the event. The stc Esports Arena, stc Gaming Hall, and stc tv Esports Studios will host critical matches and community experiences, underscoring stc’s role in shaping both the competition and its cultural footprint.
Returning to Riyadh from July 7 to August 24, the Esports World Cup 2025 will feature 25 tournaments across 24 games, more than 2,000 elite players, and 200 clubs from over 100 countries. With a prize pool exceeding 70 million dollars, the event is expected to be the largest in esports history. Alongside high stakes competition, fans can expect a wide array of attractions including music festivals, anime cafes, cosplay zones, and retro arcades, making the EWC a true celebration of global gaming culture.
stc’s renewed investment reflects its broader mission of supporting Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation and establishing the Kingdom as a global leader in esports. As both infrastructure provider and fan experience innovator, stc is helping redefine what live esports events can offer.
