Samsung Electronics has launched a month-long celebration of gaming excellence in Southeast Asia with the first campus edition of its Galaxy Gaming Academy and the Odyssey Cup Campus League. Starting from May 20, 2024, this initiative aims to unite vibrant student gaming communities across the region, underscoring Samsung's commitment to shaping the future of competitive gaming.
Galaxy Gaming Academy: A Platform for Aspiring Champions
Launched in 2023, the Galaxy Gaming Academy supports amateur mobile gamers by providing training and a platform to elevate their skills. The Campus Series targets student gamers from Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, and Singapore, offering a unique platform for 5v5 Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) matches in Mobile Legends Bang Bang (MLBB). The event is powered by the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra mobile phone, known for its powerful processor, vibrant visuals, and seamless connectivity, ensuring an immersive gaming experience.
Odyssey Cup Campus League: Fostering Competitive Spirit
Following the success of the Odyssey Cup, the Odyssey Cup Campus League caters to student PC gamers, offering a platform for budding professional gamers to showcase and hone their skills. Student teams from Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam will compete in 5v5 team clashes within the Real-Time Strategy (RTS) world of Dota 2. Samsung's flagship gaming monitors, the Odyssey Neo G9 and Odyssey OLED G9, will enhance the gaming experience with their stunning visuals and fast response times.
A Month of Gaming Glory
Throughout the month, participants can engage in tournaments, workshops, and community events designed to enhance gaming skills, promote unity, and celebrate gaming culture. In-game rewards from local gaming partners add to the excitement.
