We are excited to announce the much-anticipated return of the PUBG Global Series with its third iteration, marking the first global event of 2024. Here's everything you need to know about the upcoming PUBG Global Series 3 tournament.

 

Event Location and Date

PUBG Global Series 3 is set to take place in the vibrant city of Shanghai, China, from May 20th to May 26th. This event promises to be a thrilling showcase as 24 top teams compete for a hefty $300,000 prize pool.

 

Teams and Lineup

The competition will feature an impressive lineup, including the top 14 teams from each regional series alongside 10 Global Partner teams, making for a diverse and dynamic battleground.

 

Tournament Structure

Group Stage: The Group Stage will set the tournament in motion, spanning three days with teams divided into three groups (A, B, & C):

  • Day 1: Groups A & B clash
  • Day 2: Groups B & C face off
  • Day 3: Groups C & A compete

Each day will host 6 matches, determining which 16 teams advance to the Final Stage, while the bottom 8 teams will be eliminated.

Final Stage: Post a rest day, the remaining 16 teams will battle it out over three days, each featuring 6 matches. The team with the highest ranking at the end of these intense days will be crowned the champions of the PUBG Global Series 3.

 

Map Rotation

The tournament will rotate through four maps: the iconic Erangel and Miramar are set as the mainstays of the competition, supplemented daily by rounds on Taego and Vikendi, ensuring a diverse and challenging competitive environment.

 

Participating Teams

  • AMERICAS: Includes Soniqs (Global Partner), Team Falcons, Shoot To Kill, and Legacy.
  • EMEA: Features FaZe Clan, Twisted Minds, Natus Vincere (all Global Partners), ibiza, Lukarux, NIXZYEE, QWZYYY (qualified as MadBulls), and HOWL Esports.
  • APAC: CERBERUS Esports, Daytrade Gaming (Global Partners), From The Future, eArena, Armory Gaming, and Valee Thai Esports.
  • CHINA: 17Gaming, Four Angry Men, Petrichor Road (Global Partners), and two teams to be announced post-PUBG Champions League 2024: Spring.
  • KOREA: Gen.G (Global Partner), KWANGDONG FREECS, Dplus KIA, and GNL ESPORTS.

 

Prizes and PGS Points

The total prize pool for the PUBG Global Series 3 stands at $300,000, with distribution based on the teams' final standings. Additionally, PGS points will be awarded based on final results, crucial for qualifying for the year-end PGC 2024.
