Glitched Festival, Sweden’s premier gaming and esports celebration, has officially announced its return for 2026. The four-day event will take place at Elmia in Jönköping from June 12th to 15th, promising even bigger experiences for gamers and esports enthusiasts. Following its successful debut in 2025, which drew over 15,000 attendees, the festival is poised to elevate its offerings with new content, partnerships, and interactive zones.
The festival combines competitive esports tournaments, LAN areas, expo zones, and a variety of gaming-focused experiences. In 2026, Glitched will expand the LAN Districts, themed zones that cater to different interests, playstyles, and gaming communities. Fans attending the festival will have opportunities to compete, explore new games, and connect with fellow gamers in immersive settings.
Tickets for Glitched Festival 2026 will go on sale from September 26th, 2025. The first hall and available seats will be revealed at that time, with additional ticket batches expected throughout the fall to accommodate growing demand. The festival’s return reflects overwhelming enthusiasm from the gaming community, with the 2025 premiere receiving a Net Promoter Score of 69, and many attendees calling it a world-class gaming experience.
Christoffer Melin, one of Glitched’s founders, said, “Glitched has achieved our goal of becoming Sweden’s best gaming festival, and we are only getting started. The response from both attendees and partners has been overwhelming, and every evaluation points in the same direction: the community loves what we are building together.”
The festival was founded by key former DreamHack executives, including Martin Öjes, Christoffer Melin, and Tomas Lyckedal. With decades of experience in esports and gaming events, the founders aim to push Glitched Festival beyond the traditional LAN experience, creating a festival that combines community engagement, competition, and entertainment.
Sweden has increasingly become a hub for esports, hosting major competitive events and attracting international attention. In addition to Glitched Festival, ESL FACEIT Group is planning the 22nd season of the ESL Pro League in Stockholm, while DreamHack itself will host a major LAN event later this year featuring THE FINALS and the Overwatch Champions Series World Finals.
The 2026 edition of Glitched Festival promises to build on this momentum, offering gamers and esports fans a chance to participate in tournaments, enjoy new interactive zones, and connect with the global gaming community in one of Europe’s fastest-growing esports destinations.
