The 2025 Esports World Cup Club Championship is heading into its most electrifying phase yet. With only two weeks remaining, the leaderboard is a powder keg ready to blow, and seven teams still have a legitimate shot at the title. Every match, every round, every second on the clock now carries the weight of millions.

While there is a slim mathematical possibility that the championship could be decided this week, it would require Team Falcons to sweep every single remaining tournament. Far more likely is an all-out clash in the final week  the kind of nail-biting finish that will have fans glued to their screens until the very last play.

At the top of the table, Team Liquid holds a razor-thin 500-point lead over their fiercest rivals, Team Falcons. The two powerhouses have traded blows throughout the season, but neither has managed to land the knockout punch. Liquid’s dominance in Chess, MSC, and the FC Pro World Championship has given them the edge, but with five more competitions still on their calendar, they will need to keep their foot firmly on the gas to hold their position.

Team Falcons, last year’s champions, had a rocky start to their campaign. For weeks they failed to secure the wins they needed, racking up close calls but no trophies. That changed with their Overwatch 2 triumph at OWCS MSC, a victory that temporarily pushed them into first place. The joy was short-lived as Team Liquid struck back with another tournament win. Still, with seven competitions left, the Falcons are far from out of the fight and will be looking to swoop in for a dramatic comeback.

Team Vitality sits in third place, 550 points adrift, with a string of strong performances but no dominant streak yet. Their upcoming matches in Rocket League and CS2 could deliver the point surge they desperately need. Virtus.pro, in fourth place, is still chasing its first big win of the championship but has the advantage of the most remaining opportunities to strike, with seven competitions left.

Meanwhile, Twisted Minds has stormed into fifth place after a thrilling victory in COD WZ at EWC 25. With six events to go, they are well within striking distance of the leaders if they can maintain their momentum. For clubs like AG.AL and Gen.G Esports, the road to the top is much steeper, with only two tournaments left  they will need nothing short of perfection and a healthy dose of luck to pull off a miracle.

The stakes could not be higher. The $7 million top prize will not just reward skill, but also endurance, adaptability, and the ability to perform under crushing pressure. Fans should prepare for two weeks of relentless, high-octane esports where legends will be made and heartbreaks will be just as quick.
