The Esports World Cup Foundation has officially renewed its partnership with Aramco for another three years, marking a significant expansion ahead of the 2025 edition of the world’s biggest esports and gaming celebration. Scheduled to return to Riyadh this summer, the event is gearing up to be larger, louder, and more immersive than ever before, with Aramco playing a much bigger role in elevating the tournament’s motorsport offerings.
The renewed agreement not only extends Aramco’s presence within the Esports World Cup ecosystem but also sees the company become the title partner of the newly upgraded Aramco SIM Arena. This expansion builds on the success of their inaugural collaboration in 2024, where Aramco introduced a glimpse of racing thrill to esports enthusiasts. In 2025, the Aramco SIM Arena promises an even more dynamic experience, aiming to replicate the intensity and adrenaline of a real Formula One Grand Prix. Fans will get hands on with interactive challenges that test their racing reflexes and virtual driving skills.
One of the most exciting developments this year is the introduction of the Aramco Esports Championship, which will unfold in two unique seasons during the seven week Esports World Cup. The format features weekly online races, gradually narrowing the field before culminating in an in person finale at the Aramco SIM Arena. The top ten racers on the leaderboard will earn their spot in the final showdown, and the ultimate winner will receive an exclusive opportunity to attend a driver development program hosted by the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team at the Silverstone esports headquarters.
Adding to the excitement, Aramco is also rolling out the Aramco Power Rankings for the first time. This format allows fans to get more deeply involved in each game by following expert powered predictions and engaging across broadcasts and social platforms. These rankings will be revealed before the first match of each featured title, offering both fans and analysts a chance to react, debate, and forecast who will rise or fall in the upcoming rounds.
This renewed partnership between Aramco and the Esports World Cup is part of a broader vision to bridge the gap between motorsports and gaming, creating a platform where simulation racing can stand shoulder to shoulder with the most competitive esports in the world. It also highlights Saudi Arabia’s continued investment in gaming infrastructure and community engagement, with Riyadh becoming a global hub for esports excellence.
With over two thousand elite players and two hundred clubs from more than one hundred countries set to compete across twenty five tournaments, the Esports World Cup 2025 is poised to be the most ambitious edition yet. Featuring a record breaking prize pool of over seventy million dollars, this year’s festival also promises a variety of fan centric activities including anime cafes, live concerts, cosplay arenas, and creator studios.
The countdown to July 7 has begun, and with Aramco doubling down on its commitment, all eyes are now on Riyadh as it prepares to deliver the most spectacular esports event of the year.
