The VCT China Stage 2 Grand Final ended in dramatic fashion as Bilibili Gaming (BLG) defeated Dragon Ranger Gaming (DRG) 3-1 to lift the regional trophy. With this win, BLG not only secured its place as the number one seed from China for VALORANT Champions 2025 but also cemented its status as one of the strongest teams in the world heading into Paris.

BLG’s Journey to the Top

Throughout 2025, BLG consistently proved itself as one of China’s most formidable rosters. After a strong third-place finish in the Kickoff event and a second-place showing in Stage 1, the squad carried that momentum into Stage 2. BLG topped Group Alpha, dropping only one match to Trace Esports.

In the Playoffs, they stumbled against DRG in their first meeting, falling to the lower bracket. But their resilience shone through as they eliminated defending world champions EDward Gaming (EDG) 3-1 in the Lower Bracket Final, setting the stage for an explosive rematch against DRG.

The Grand Final Clash

Held at the Chongqing Science Hall, the Grand Final was a best-of-five showdown that delivered high drama. DRG opened strong on Lotus, demolishing BLG 13-2 and putting the rookies in control early. But BLG roared back, taking Haven (13-8), Corrode (13-10), and sealing the series on Lotus (13-9).

The star of the show was Wang “whz” Haozhe, who claimed the Grand Finals MVP award with a 222 ACS (Average Combat Score) and 146 ADR (Average Damage per Round), anchoring his team with consistent impact.

A Historic Shift in Chinese VALORANT

This victory was historic for BLG, as it made them only the second team ever to take a VCT China title from EDward Gaming, who had dominated the region until 2025. Alongside BLG, three other Chinese teams — DRG, XLG Esports, and EDG — will represent the region at VALORANT Champions 2025 in Paris.

The celebrations in Chongqing matched the scale of the achievement, featuring a 5,000-drone light show, a VALORANT Mobile exhibition match, and a pre-show concert, with Riot Games leadership including Leo Faria and Anna Donlon in attendance.

What’s Next

Bilibili Gaming now prepares for their biggest challenge yet — VALORANT Champions 2025 in Paris, taking place from September 12 to October 5. With momentum on their side and the first seed locked in, BLG will aim to bring the world championship trophy back to China.
