Football fans, the wait is almost over. EA College Football 26 is officially releasing on July 10, 2025, and everything about it promises a major upgrade from last year’s entry. With new features, improved gameplay systems, and fresh faces on the cover, this year’s edition is shaping up to be a must play for sports sim lovers.
EA is bringing the game exclusively to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. There will be no release on older generation consoles or PC, keeping the focus tightly on delivering a next gen experience. If you grab the Deluxe Edition, you can jump in three days early starting July 7.
The Standard Edition is priced at 69.99 dollars while the Deluxe Edition costs 99.99 dollars. For those who want more, the MVP Bundle goes all in at 149.99 dollars and even includes Madden NFL 26 Deluxe Edition. EA Play subscribers will get early access and a discount, and returning players from last year can also get a loyalty bonus with exclusive in game rewards.
Cover stars Ryan Williams from Alabama and Jeremiah Smith from Ohio State headline this year’s game, both wide receivers with dominant performances last season. Their rise reflects the new energy in this release, and they are joined on the Deluxe cover by coaching legends and other top players, bringing college football’s biggest names together.
Gameplay improvements include better blocking, enhanced tackling physics, and smarter pass rush stunts. EA has introduced a new fatigue system called Wear and Tear to add more realism. Stadium environments are also getting an overhaul with visual effects that intensify the home field advantage like camera shakes and crowd pressure during key moments.
The Dynasty mode now brings in real world coaches and lets you recruit rising stars. Road to Glory introduces high school football, letting you start early and climb through the ranks. From the classic Hat Ceremony to building your legend across seasons, the game gives you a more immersive path than ever before.
Ultimate Team returns with solo challenges, loyalty rewards, and a way to carry your custom teams from College Football 25 into the new game. These teams can be used in offline matches and private dynasties, allowing players to continue building their dream squad without starting from scratch.
College Football 26 also features school specific chants, mascot animations, and anthem tracks like Enter Sandman to give matches more energy. EA Tiburon is set to reveal more in the coming weeks, but everything revealed so far points to a massive leap forward.
